EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State swimming and diving will host Kenyon College on Saturday, Nov. 3. The Spartans will also be celebrating their nine seniors for senior day. The meet will begin at 12 p.m.
This will be Kenyon's first dual meet of the season. On Oct. 20, they held the Kenyon College relays where they took first place against teams such as Ohio Northern, College of Wooster and Oberlin College.
"We went down there last year, we had a really good experience and enjoyed it," head coach Matt Gianiodis said. "They're a Division III team, but they're a really, really good DIII team. They've won multiple National Championships and they've got some really good swimmers on their team."
The women's team will be looking for their first win of the season coming off a close two-point loss to Rutgers. The Spartans walked away with six first-place finishes in the dual meet, including a tight win in the 200 IM by Abbey Neveling with a time of 2:06.83.
The men's team is ready to get their feet wet after having three weeks off since their last meet with the University of Illinois-Chicago on Friday, Oct. 12.
"We're looking forward to it. It's going to be our senior day. They'll come in and compete hard. Their women pushed us pretty hard last year, and their men did too. I'm just looking forward to having people improve," Gianiodis said.
Results from the meet will be available at msuspartans.com following the conclusion of the contest. Follow along with live updates on Meet Mobile.
