Michigan State Falls At No. 8 Wisconsin Saturday

Spartans face back-to-back top 10 teams.
MADISON, Wis. -- Michigan State football lost at No. 8 Wisconsin, 38-0, Saturday afternoon at a cold, windy and rainy Camp Randall Stadium.
MSU is now 4-3 overall and 2-2 in Big Ten Conference action after playing back-to-back teams ranked in the Top 10. Wisconsin improves to 6-0 overall, 3-0 in B1G play.
Senior wide receiver Darrell Stewart Jr. led MSU with five receptions for 59 yards.Â
Junior linebacker Antjuan Simmons led the Michigan State defense with 10 stops, including one tackle for loss, one of five TFLs by MSU on the afternoon. Simmons added one pass break-up.
The Badgers were led by quarterback Jack Coan's 18-of-21 passing for 180 yards and one TD pass. The Spartan defense contained Wisconsin running back and Heisman Trophy candidate Jonathan Taylor to 80 yards on 26 carries, the first game this season that he didn't reach 100 yards.Â
The Spartans have a bye week next week before hosting Penn State on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Spartan Stadium.Â
