MSU Gymnastics To Host Meet The Spartans Sunday

Spartan fans can get their first glimpse of the 2020 squad on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 12:30 p.m.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State gymnastics will host its annual Meet the Spartans event on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 12:30 p.m. in the MSU Gymnastics Training Center on the third floor of Jenison Field House.
"This year's "Meet The Spartans" will provide six to eight competitive routines per event, a different format then we provided last year, due to the new renovation that included a short tour within the fan experience," MSU head coach Mike Rowe said. "We're excited to get these Spartan routines in front of our fans. We're at the half-way point of a long preseason and we want to get in front of our crowd."
Sunday's event will be free to the public and gives Spartan gymnastics fans their first glimpse of the 2020 team.
Michigan State welcomes five freshmen to the 2020 roster, including Chloe Bellmore, Ryanna Head, Jori Jackard, Nyah Smith and Linda Zivat.
"Along with competing routines on the four Olympics events, we will offer a few 'Chalk-Talk' opportunities to address some rule changes, along with opportunities to chat with the Spartans, get some autographs and take a few selfies," Rowe said. "We're looking forward to getting reunited with our fans and giving them a glimpse of what's in store for them this 2020 season, with new faces, upgraded skills, fabulous choreography as usual and a fun-filled afternoon to start the season off right."
The gymnastics "Perfect-10 Boosters" will be on-hand selling merchandise, including discounted items.
The Spartans will then host its annual Green and White meet on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. in Jenison Field House.
