QUOTING COACH BRUNO
On Emily Metcalf…
"I think Emily has proven to be a glue of a doubles player. She's had success no matter who she's played with and really elevated herself into an elite category of one of the best doubles players who's come through this program. She's someone who looks at it like a family environment, she brings that Southern big-family to all of our matches which has been very supportive."
On Davina Nguyen…
"She's really stepped into a huge leadership role this year and honestly these last couple of weekends I think I've seen some of her best tennis since I've been a coach here. We've asked her to step up, she's playing three right now and she's contributing in so many ways. As long as she's in the right mind frame and ready to go, she's fun to be on court with."
On the two seniors...
"They've been here longer than me. Both of them together, they're roommates, they're best friends, they've done a lot of things together. They've definitely pushed this program forward and hopefully we can continue this last month of success for them."
QUOTING THE SENIORS
On what being a part of Michigan State women's tennis has meant to them…
"The tennis program has opened the doors for me to so many great relationships and experiences. Even with the ups and downs, my time here has been better and so much more than I could have hoped for. I am so proud to be a part of this team and feel grateful to have been able to leave my mark on this institution that has given so much to me." - Davina Nguyen
"Being apart of MSUWT has meant the world to me. I have been able to travel around the country playing a sport that I love alongside my best friends while meeting so many new people along the way. It has been an honor and a blessing to compete in the green and white. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been given here and to have been a part of such a great program. Forever and always, Go Green." - Emily Metcalf
