Caffey and Pajot Honored as PNC Achievers Student-Athletes of the Month

EAST LANSING, MICH. - Michigan State Athletics and PNC Bank are partnering to recognize the PNC Achievers Student-Athletes of the Month. Throughout the 2018-19 season, deserving Spartan student-athletes will be recognized for displaying well-rounded achievement through leadership in the classroom, in the community, and in competition.
The honorees for March are Cameron Caffey (wrestling) and Stephanie Pajot (women's track & field).
Caffey, a redshirt freshman from Carbondale, Ill., has a perfect 4.0 grade point average, while majoring in computer engineering. He is ranked the No. 20 wrestler in the country in the 184-pound weight class, having posted a 26-5 overall record, including a 13-5 mark in duals. Caffey has won six open tournaments in his two seasons in East Lansing. Caffey is wrestling representative on MSU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Pajot, a senior thrower from Auburn, Mich., will graduate in May with a degree in advertising management and a minor in sports business management. A team captain, she has set personal marks of 17.62m in the weight throw and 52.72m in the hammer throw. In the classroom, Pajot was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten honoree, while in the community she has been active with various groups, including Teams for Toys and National Association of Sports Commissions. She is a current intern with Fox Sports College Properties, and has spent time interning with UFC and Quicken Loans during her time at MSU.
