Marfa Sans Tabbed B1G Co-Golfer of the Week

EAST LANSING – Michigan State senior Paz Marfa Sans has been named the Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday. Marfa Sans got her first tournament win earlier this week, claiming medalist honors at the Mary Fossum Invitational.
In helping the Spartans to the Mary Fossum Invitational team title, Marfa Sans shot a 2-over-par 218 (73-69-76). She overcame a tough start in the final round on Monday with five birdies as her victory marked the third consecutive year a Spartan won the individual Fossum Invite title.
It's the first weekly conference honor of Marfa Sans' career. She is sharing this week's award with Tess Hackworthy of Wisconsin.
The Spartans are back in action Oct. 11-13 at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational.
