Meet the Spartans: Jeremy Sarter

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State wrestling will feature a newcomer periodically throughout the preseason in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2020-21 season.

This week freshman Jeremy Sarter (West Bloomfield, Michigan / West Bloomfield High School) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.

1. Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?
It was the best school academically for me and I always wanted to be a Spartan.

2. What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?
I am most excited about traveling and competing against other teams and wrestlers.

3. When did you first start wrestling?
I first started wrestling in middle school when I was in 7th grade.

4. Favorite wrestling memory?
Wrestling at Ford Field

5. What's your major at Michigan State and why?
My major is biolaboratory diagnosis because I want to be a doctor and care for others.

6. Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?
Wrestling has taught me most to never give up and that anything is achievable if you work for it.

7. What superhero power would you have if you could choose one?
It would be have super speed because then I could go travel anywhere with no effort.

8. Favorite meal?
Pizza

9. Favorite TV show?
Rick and Morty

10. Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?
Play Fortnite
