STATS AND STORYLINES
- A pair of good bounces for the Nittany Lions allowed PSU to put a run on the board in the second. Dani Fey put down a two-out bunt single, stole second, and then came around on a single to right by Ally Kurland that just kissed the line to stay fair.Â
- Shae Schreckengost picked up MSU's first base hit of the day in the second inning, her second base hit in as many games.
- A hit batter and sac bunt put a pair of runners on for Penn State early in the third, and Kennedy Legg stepped in and delivered a double to the gap in left center that scored both runners for a 3-0 lead. A pair of Spartan errors loaded the bases with one out, and a walk, two singles, and a passed ball sent four more across the plate for the Nittany Lions to make it 7-0.  MSU went to the bullpen to bring on Alli Walker, who got out of the inning without any more damage.Â
- Penn State manufactured xx more runs in the fourth, taking advantage of two more MSU errors. A pair of base hits led to an 11th run for PSU in the top of the fifth.Â
- Alli Walker threw 2.2 innings of relief, scattering four hits and allowing two earned runs – the second relief outing for her in as many games. Sarah Ladd took the loss, allowing two earned runs in 2.1 innings, striking out two.
