Spartan Gymnastics Hosts Green and White Meet Saturday

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State gymnastics is set to host its annual Green and White exhibition this Saturday at 1 p.m. The meet will take place inside the MSU Gymnastics Training Center on the third floor of Jenison Field House.
The Green and White meet will provide fans a glimpse of the 2021-22 squad following a lengthy hiatus from in-person competitions. The Spartans will split into 'Green' and 'White' teams, competing on floor, vault, beam and bars in front of official judges.
Baleigh Garcia, Delanie Harkness, Lauren Hsu, Tori Loomis, Lea Mitchell, Alaina Raybon, Katie Sawyer, Gabi Stephen and Alyssa Wiedeman will represent the Green team. Sydney Ewing, Naomi German, Sydney Hayashi, Ashley Hofelich, Jori Jackard, Giana Kalefe, Genna Lebster, Skyla Schulte and Nyah Smith, are members of the White team.
The meet will also provide fans an early chance at seeing the team's six newcomers in action. Gabrielle Stephen, Skyla Schulte, Katie Sawyer, Genna Lebster and Lauren Hsu make up the freshman class, while Tori Loomis joins the team as a junior transfer.
Hosting an exhibition gives the squad another opportunity to compete in front of fans and judges prior to the official start of the 2022 competition season on January 9 at UC Davis.
Due to the coinciding men's basketball game at 2 p.m., parking will be limited on campus and fans are encouraged to arrive early.
