Henry Leads Michigan State Past Indiana, 64-58

East Lansing, Mich. – Junior forward Aaron Henry (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the second half and Michigan State used a late run to pull away for a 64-58 win over Indiana on Tuesday night at the Breslin Center.

Henry, who scored 12-straight points late in the second half for MSU, scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds, had five assists and two steals to lead three players in double figures. Graduate guard Joshua Langford (Huntsville, Ala./Madison Academy) scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had two blocks and two steals and junior forward Gabe Brown (Ypsilanti, Mich./Bellevile) added 10 points and five rebounds

Michigan State, winners of four of its last five games, improves to 14-10 overall and -8-10 in the Big Ten Conference, while Indiana falls to 12-13 and 7-11 in the league.

In a sluggish game for most of the 40 minutes, the teams were tied at 51-all with 4:07 to play when Indiana's Ali Durham hit a pair of free throws.
Henry and the Spartans responded, with the junior captain hitting a jumper with 3:37 left to give MSU the lead for good.
Henry scored nine-straight points, following with a 3-pointer, a jumper and a pair of free throws as the Spartans took their biggest lead of the game 60-52 with 45 seconds left to play.
A free throw from Langford with 25 seconds left gave MSU a 61-52 lead and the Spartans hit six of eight in the final minute to seal the win.
The teams had gone into the half tied at 26-all after an opening 20 minutes in which Indiana shot just 27.8 percent and MSU hit more free throws (9) than field goals (8).
MSU's only lead came in the opening minutes after free throws from sophomores Malik Hall (Aurora, Ill./Sunrise Christian Academy [Kan.]) and Julius Marble II (Dallas, Texas/Dallas Jesuit) gave the hosts a 4-0 lead.
The Hoosiers took a six-point lead, 16-10, on free throws from Trayce Jackson-Davis with 9:03 to play in the half, but the Spartans out-scored IU, 16-10, over the remainder of the period and tied the game on a jumper from Langford with six seconds on the clock.
