MSU Gymnastics Announces 2023 Big Ten Schedule

Spartans will have two home B1G meets
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State gymnastics announced its 2023 Big Ten Conference schedule, as released by the conference office Thursday.
The seven-meet schedule features five dual meets with two being held at Jenison Field House. The schedule also includes the league's annual Big Five Meet that will be held on Feb. 25, while the Big Ten Championships are slated for March 18 in Iowa City, Iowa.Â
The Spartans host defending Big Ten Champion Michigan on Sunday, Jan. 22 to begin the conference season.Â
MSU then ventures to College Park, Maryland, on Sunday, Jan. 29 to face Maryland, before returning home to host Penn State on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Michigan State rounds out conference action at Iowa City, Iowa, for a meet at Iowa on Saturday, Feb. 11, and at Illinois the following Saturday, Feb. 18, in the final prep before the Big Five Meet on Saturday, Feb. 25. The Spartans return to Iowa City for the 2023 Big Ten Championships on Saturday, March 18.
MSU's complete 2023 schedule, in addition to meet times and television information will be announced at a later date.
The Spartans are coming off a breakout year for the Green & White in 2022, as Michigan State qualified for the postseason as a team for the first time since 2016 and competed in the West Regionals in Seattle, Washington, making it all the way to Regional Finals and placing third. MSU broke the overall team score three times over in 2022 in addition to setting new program highs on vault, bars (49.500), beam (49.500) and floor (49.675). The grand finale for MSU was a new program best score of 197.650 set in the Regional Finals. The Spartans concluded the season with a program-best ranking of ninth in the nation, boasting a ninth-place ranking on floor, 10th on beam, 15th on bars and 19th on vault.
