Michigan State Basketball Hosts MSU Madness on Friday the 13th

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's and women's basketball teams marked the official start of the 2023-24 season with the annual MSU Madness on Friday night.
The theme for Friday night's 2023-24 MSU Madness incorporated Friday the 13th as all men's and women's basketball players came dressed in Halloween costumes.
MSU men's basketball head coach Tom Izzo and women's basketball head coach Robyn Fralick came out dressed as the dynamic duo, Batman and Robin.
Doors to the Breslin Center opened at 8 p.m. and fans lined up to get the new 2023-24 team posters. Players and coaches for both teams were available for autographs and pictures before MSU Madness
The night began with performances from the MSU Drumline, Spartan Dance and Cheerleading teams and the Spartan Marching Band.
The men's basketball team opens the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, Oct. 25, hosting Hillsdale College in an exhibition game at the Breslin Center at 7 p.m. The Spartans will also take on Sunday, Oct. 29 Tennessee at 3:30 p.m. in a Maui Relief Charity Game.
The Michigan State women's basketball team begins the 2023-24 on Tuesday, Nov. 2, hosting Davenport in an exhibition game at 6:30 p.m.
The men open the regular season at home against James Madison on Monday, Nov. 6 at 8:30 p.m. The women open at the Breslin Center against Oakland on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m.
