MSU Women’s Basketball Adds One More to 2024 Recruiting Class

Michigan State adds Inés Sotelo Miguez.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's basketball head coach Robyn Fralick announced the signing Inés Sotelo Miguez to a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday.
"We are thrilled to add Ines Sotelo to the Spartan women's basketball program," Fralick said. "Ines has a high-level motor, incredible versatility and wonderful experience competing for the Spain National team. She is a great passer and moves really well without the ball. She has been training with high level players and has a serious commitment to basketball. We are really excited for her to join our huddle."
Sotelo Miguez is a 6-3 forward, who is a native of Ourense, Spain. She has extensive international experience, including playing with the U18 Spanish National Team last summer in Konya, Turkey at the Eurobasket Tournament. In the third-place game against Serbia, scoring 14 points and five rebounds in the game. She has played in the Spain Championship every season since 2019.
She is currently playing in the one of the highest leagues in Europe right now LF Endesa in Spain.
Her mother, Marta Míguez, was a javelin thrower in the Sidney Olympics in 2000, while her father, Julián Sotelo Madrazo, also threw javelin in the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.
Michigan State continues the 2023-24 season at the Cancun Challenge Thursday, 23-24.
