
MSU Women’s Basketball Announces 2024 Recruiting Class

Michigan State adds Sinai Douglas, Helen Holley and Juliann Woodard.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's basketball head coach Robyn Fralick announced the signing of three National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, including Sinai Douglas (Toledo, Ohio/Toledo Start High School), Helen Holley (Cleveland, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) and Juliann Woodard (North Vernon, Indiana/Jennings County High School).
"We are so excited to sign Sinai, Helen and Juliann to our Spartan program," Fralick said. "They embody the core values of our program, are great teammates and winners. They believe in the vision of our program and the day in and day out commitment it takes to play at the highest level. We are thrilled to welcome them to Michigan State women's basketball." SIGNED✍️

Douglas is a 5-4 guard, who is a native of Toledo, Ohio. She attends Toledo Start High School and is coached by Dane Franklin. Douglas is currently ranked No. 87 in the ESPNW HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings. As a junior, she was a finalist for Ohio Ms. Basketball, averaging 16.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists. She captured her second City League Player of the Year Award last season. During the 2021-22 season, she earned first-team All-Ohio honors. Douglas also captured Northwest District Player of the Year as a sophomore. She also ran cross country and track all four years of high school. She plays for Legends U for AAU ball along with future teammate Helen Holley.
"Sinai is a tenacious defender with an incredibly high motor. She has an unwavering ability to keep competing and elevate her teammates. We are excited for the toughness she will bring every day," Fralick said.

Holley is a 6-1 forward, who is a native of Cleveland Ohio, plays for head coach Kevin Byrne at the Gilmour Academy. As a junior, she averaged 14.7 points and 11.7 rebounds per game. She captured second-team All-Ohio honors last season. During her sophomore season, in 2021-22, Holley averaged 10.9 points and 11.7 rebounds per game. She plays for Legends U for AAU ball along with future teammate Sinai Douglas. Holley lettered in volleyball as well.
"Helen is a very agile player with an ability to guard all over the court," Fralick added. "Her energy, motor and rebounding will be a great addition to our program. We are excited for the versatility she will bring to the program."
She is the daughter of Donna Villier-Holley and Robert Holley. Her brother, Kareem Young, played football at Mount Union.

Woodard is a 6-0 forward, who is a native of North Vernon, Indiana, plays for head coach Kristi Sigler at Jennings County High School. Woodard is currently ranked No. 58 in the ESPNW HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings. As a junior, she averaged 22.8 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game. She was named Indiana Junior All-Star last season. Woodard also plays for the West Virginia Thunder during the AAU season. Last season, she set the school record with 41 points in a single game. Woodard has earned first-team all-conference honors three-straight seasons.
"Juliann is an elite competitor with an ability to impact the game in so many ways," Fralick said. "She has a great ability to rebound the ball out of her area and we are excited about the toughness and motor she will bring every day."
She is the daughter of Susan Bailey and Bryan Woodard.
Michigan State opens the 2023-24 season hosting Oakland on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Breslin Center.
