Michigan State Hosts Wisconsin in Big Ten Opener on Tuesday

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball team, receiving votes in the Associated Press Top 25 poll and the ESPN Coaches poll, opens Big Ten Conference play on Tuesday, Dec. 5, hosting Wisconsin at the Breslin Center (7 p.m.).

The game will air live on Peacock, with Noah Eagle and Robbie Hummel calling all of the action. The Spartan Media Network radio call can be heard state-wide and on the web at MSUSpartans.com, with Will Tieman handling the play-by-play and Matt Steigenga serving as the color analyst, and Blake Froling is the studio host. Michigan State enters Tuesday's game against Wisconsin with a 4-3 overall record following an 86-55 win over Georgia Southern on Nov. 28.
After playing seven games in the opening three weeks of the season, MSU is playing its first game in a week on Tuesday.

Tuesday night's game is the sixth at home this season for the Spartans, who are 4-1 at the Breslin Center ... After a road game at Nebraska on Sunday, Dec. 10, MSU closes out the month of December with a game in Detroit against Baylor and then three more games at the Breslin Center.
The Spartans are averaging 78.2 ppg at the Breslin Center and shooting 46.7 percent from the floor.
MSU ranks No. 6 in the country in field goal percentage defense (35.5%).

About Wisconsin

Wisconsin enters the game on Tuesday with a 6-2 overall record following a 75-64 win over then-No. 3 Marquette at home on Saturday.
The Badgers, who are ranked No. 23 in Associated Press Top 25, have won their last five games.
Wisconsin's only losses this season have come to No. 17 Tennessee at home (80-70) and on the road to Providence (72-59).
