EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State gymnastics will celebrate its 50th year of competition leading up to its season opener and throughout the 2024 season beginning in January.Â
Since its first season in 1974, the Spartans have put together a 597-337-5 (.638) overall record and made 22 NCAA postseason appearances. Last season, MSU captured its first Big Ten regular season title and eclipsed the 198.000 overall team score mark for the first time in program history with a school-record 198.225.Â
A special logo was created for the 50-year anniversary of Spartan gymnastics, with merchandise for fans to be made available for purchase on meet days at Jenison Field House (tickets for home meets are available HERE) and online through MSU licensed vendors at a later date.Â
The logo incorporates elements from the structure of Jenison Field House and includes rhinestones to represent each season, as well as a larger rhinestone to symbolize MSU's 2023 Big Ten title. A ribbon across the '50' signifies the upward growth of the program.Â

The Spartans officially kick off the 2024 season the weekend of Jan. 5 at the Super 16 in Las Vegas. MSU hosts its first of six home meets in 50 days against Iowa on Sunday, Jan. 28, and hosts the 2024 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships for the sixth time in program history and first time since 2013 at Jenison Field House on Saturday, March 23.Â
Fans have the opportunity to see Team 50 in action before the season officially gets underway on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. for the Spartans' annual Green and White exhibition meet at Jenison Field House. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and admission is free.Â
