Track & Field Continues Outdoor Season at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. - Michigan State track & field heads to Durham, North Carolina this weekend for the Duke Invitational, scheduled for Thursday, April 6 through Saturday, April 8 at Duke's Morris Williams Stadium.Â
Live results will be available on MSUSpartans.com. The meet will stream on ACC Network Extra on Friday (6 p.m.) and Saturday (11 a.m.).Â
The Spartans will be in action all three days of the meet. Thursday's events include the discus (10 a.m.) and hammer throws (1 p.m.), while Friday will begin with the women's javelin at 11 a.m. and Saturday will kick off with the women's high jump at 10 a.m. Friday's track events will run from 6 p.m. to 9:55 p.m. with the Norm Ogilvie Distance Carnival, and the sprints and hurdles will take place on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.Â
MSU enters the weekend after a successful showing at the annual Spartan Invitational on March 31. Fifth-year senior Trevor Stephenson took home the pole vault title with a new school record of 5.51m, while the Spartans captured six first-place finishes on the track and three field event titles on the men's side and seven track titles and five first-place field event finishes on the women's side. The Spartans also swept the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.Â
MSU travels to California next week to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational and Mt. SAC Relays on April 14 and 15.Â
