
Holloman Scores Career-High 19 Points as Michigan State Outlasts No. 12 North Carolina in Overtime, 94-91

LAHAINA, Hawaii – Junior guard Tre Holloman scored a career-high 19 points and six players scored in double figures as Michigan State's men's basketball team beat No. 12 North Carolina, 94-91, in the third place game of the Maui Invitational at the Lahaina Civic Center Wednesday night.
Hollman scored 13 of his 19 points in the first half, handed out a team-high seven assists and hit four big free throws in the overtime period.
Senior guard Jaden Akins scored 14 points and grabbed three rebounds, sophomore forward Coen Carr had 14 points and seven rebounds, redshirt freshman guard Jeremy Fears Jr. added 13 points, six assists and four rebounds, senior forward Frankie Fidler had 13 points and three rebounds and sophomore forward Xavier Booker finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.

- Michigan State led by 14 points in the first half, by nine at halftime, fell behind by one point in the second half and took an eight-point lead, 79-71, on a driving layup from Fears with 4:30 to play in the game.
