Men’s Basketball to Face Colorado in Maui Invitational First Round

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State men's basketball team will open play in the 41st annual Maui Invitational playing Colorado on Monday, Nov. 25 at historic Lahaina Civic Center in Maui, Hawaii.

The Spartans will tip off against the Buffaloes in the second game of the tournament at noon Hawaii time (5 p.m. ET) and the game will air live on ESPN2.

The winner of the matchup between Michigan State and Colorado will face the winner of a game between Connecticut and Memphis, the first game of the morning session.

The other side of the bracket includes Auburn vs. Iowa State and Dayton against North Carolina.

All 12 games of the Maui Invitational will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU and will be available on the ESPN app.

The Spartans have played the Buffaloes four times in program history, carrying a 3-1 edge in the head-to-head series. The last time the teams play, MSU posted a 79-64 win on March 21, 2003 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Spartans will be making their fifth appearance in the Maui Invitational, and the program's first since 2019.
