Fidler Scores 18 Points, Helps Lead No. 12 Michigan State Past Penn State, 90-85

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Senior forward Frankie Fidler scored 14 of his team-high 18 points in the second half to lead the players in double figures as No. 12 Michigan State held on to beat Penn State, 90-85, at the Breslin Center Wednesday night.
Fidler hit 8-of-13 shots from the floor for an MSU-career best 18 points, adding 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists in the process.
Senior guard Jaden Akins scored 16 points, grabbed six rebounds and had three assists and junior guard Tre Holloman finished with 10 points and six assists. Redshirt freshman guard Jeremy Fears Jr. added eight points and seven assists.

- Michigan State led by 10 points with 5:04 left after a steal and layup from Jaden Akins, but Penn State pulled to within three points, 79-76, after a pair of 3-pointers from Zach Hicks, the latter with 3:11 to play.
