Raleigh, N.C. - Michigan State women's basketball greeted the media on Thursday in Raleigh, N.C., ahead of their NCAA First Round game against Harvard on Friday.
The Spartans arrived in Raleigh on Thursday and practice Wake Tech Community College after arriving North Carolina. On Friday, Michigan State started the day meeting with members of the media at Reynolds Coliseum. Head coach Robyn Fralick joined junior guard Grace VanSlooten and graduate guard/forward Julia Ayrault on the dais.

VanSlooten is making her debut in the NCAA Tournament, while Ayrault is playing in her third.
On her teams varying degree of NCAA experience, Fralick said, "That's the beautiful thing about being a team, right? We have freshmen. We have Julia (Ayrault), who is playing in her third NCAA. We have Jaddan Simmons, who transferred to us, and Grace (VanSlooten), who a big reason they came to Michigan State is they wanted to play in the tournament. I love the variety, as a staff too. I love what you said, you have to embrace the moment, but you can't make it bigger or smaller than it is. I think Julia's done a really good job with our team also of leading the way with that with her voice, with her actions, and with her experience."
Second-year head coach Robyn Fralick is the first-ever Michigan State women's basketball head coach to lead the Spartans into the NCAA Tournament in their two seasons at the helm of the MSU program.
No. 7-seeded Michigan State will take on No. 10-seeded Harvard on Friday, March 22 at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPNNews.
