MSU Hosts Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational on Friday

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State track & field will host the Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational on Friday, April 4. It is the only home meet of the year for the Spartans.
Due to the weather all jumps will be held inside at Jenison Field House. All marks from vertical jumps (Pole Vault/High Jump) will count as official marks, however the horizontal jumps (Long Jump/Triple Jump) will not. All throws will take place at Munn Field, while all the running competition will happen at Ralph Young Field.
The meet will begin at 10 a.m.with the women's hammer at Munn Field, men's shot put at Ralph Young Field at women's long jump at Jenison Field House. Action on the track begins at 10:30 a.m. with the women's 5000m.
The final events on the track are the women's and men's 4x400m relays. The women will begin at 5:05 p.m. with the men's relay starting at 5:10 p.m.
All-American thrower Elle Adrian will be one of many Spartan throwers in action on Friday. She will be in action in the hammer throw. On the men's side, both Colby and Dillon Morlock will be in action. Colby will compete in the hammer invite, the shot put and the discus invite. Dillon will compete in the hammer invite and the discus invite.
On the track, senior Anyssa Hall will run the women's 200m, while fellow senior Terrance Muex will race the men's 200m.
At 1:25 p.m. on the track, Michigan State Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Lisa Breznau will be honoring 30 Spartan seniors.Â
