
Spartan Track & Field Completes the Regular Season with a Pair of Wins at the Len Paddock Open

EAST LANSING, Mich. - In the final meet of the regular season, the Spartan track & field team earned a pair of first-place finishes at the Len Paddock Open in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Friday.
Leila Barmore earned a win in the triple jump with a season-best jump of 12.41m. She reached the season best in her second attempt. She was just shy of her personal best of 12.80m, set last season.
Dillon Morlock captured the other win for the Spartans in the shot put. He reached the event-winning throw of 17.33m in his fifth attempt.
In the women's hammer throw, Â Elle Adrian was second with a throw of 59.17m, while Val Pallett was third with a best throw of 56.23m In the men's hammer throw, Â Joshua DeVries once again led the way for the Spartans. He was second (63.96m), while Colby Morlock (58.53m) and Xavier Griffith (58.08m) were fifth and sixth, respectively.
Pallett also earned a fourth-place finish in the women's discus (47.06m). Rylan Finstrom was fifth with a throw of 46.58m, while Jessica Stieb was sixth with a throw of 44.40m. In the men's discus, Dalton DeBeau took second (52.74m).
In the women's shot put, Stieb was third and the top unattached throw with a heave of 15.76m. Finstrom set a new personal (15.52m) to take fourth.Â
In track action, Logan Allen and Noah Heiber ran the men's 110m hurdles. Allen finished second overall and was the top attached finisher, finishing in 14.04. Noah Heiber was fifth with a time of 14.31. Alexys Wilson ran in the women's 400m. She was second with a time of 54.19.
The Big Ten Outdoor Championships will be in Eugene, Oregon for the first time May 16-18.
