Zsarmani Named Big Ten Specialist of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Michigan State gymnastics senior Olivia Zsarmani was named the Big Ten Specialist of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.Â
Zsarmani is the second MSU gymnast to win the award this season after teammate Sage Kellerman was twice named Specialist of the Week in 2026 (Feb. 3, Feb. 17). It's the second career Specialist of the Week honor for Zsarmani, who last won the award on March 19, 2024.Â
The Statesville, North Carolina native returned to vault lineup for the first time since Feb. 1 last weekend against Ohio State, scoring a season-high 9.950 to win her first title of the season on the event. She helped MSU to a 197.300-198.650 over the then-21st-ranked Buckeyes, which was the Spartans' second-highest score of the season and fourth score over the 197.000 mark in as many weeks.Â
No. 11 MSU closes Big Ten action this on Sunday, March 1 at 4 p.m. ET at the Big Four Meet, taking on No. 13 host Minnesota, Illinois and Rutgers in Minneapolis. The meet will be broadcast nationally on Big Ten Network.Â
