Gymnastics Earns Bid to NCAA Tempe Regional

EAST LANSING, Mich. - For the fifth-straight season, Michigan State gymnastics earned a bid to the NCAA Gymnastics Regionals and will head to Tempe, Arizona, to compete in the NCAA Tempe Regional beginning Thursday, April 2 at 4 p.m. ET.Â
The meet will take place on the campus of Arizona State at Desert Financial Arena.Â
MSU is the No. 3 seed in the Tempe Regional and No. 11 seed overall. The 2026 NCAA Regionals occur over four regional sites, with four sessions of competition taking place over five days. The first round in Tempe on Wednesday, April 1 will be a 'play-in' dual meet between Arizona and host Arizona State. MSU begins competition in the second round on Thursday, April 2 at 4 p.m. ET, competing in the first of two sessions alongside second-seeded and sixth-ranked Georgia, BYU and Southern Utah. The second session at 10 p.m. ET will feature No. 1 seed Florida, No. 4 seed California, Penn State and the winner of Wednesday's play-in meet. The top two teams from each session will advance to the regional finals on Saturday, April 4 at 8 p.m. ET.Â
The top two teams from Saturday's regional finals will advance to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 16 and 18, joined by the top two teams from the remaining three regions for an eight-team national championship field.    Â
MSU advanced to its fourth-straight regional final last season in University Park, Pennsylvania, and finished second behind LSU to advance to its first NCAA Championships since 1987.Â
