Freshman: Set new personal best in 1,000 free at Big Ten Championships (9:31.68)... finished 22nd in 500 free at Big Ten[apos]s (4:29.38)...finished 18th at Big Ten[apos]s in the 1,650 free (15:42.79)...took 17th at Big Ten[apos]s in the 400 IM with a time of 3:58.52...took first in the 1,000 free against Oakland (9:46.04)...claimed first against Purdue in the 400 IM (4:04.70)...finished second in his first collegiate meet in the 1,000 free against Indiana (9:31.68).
Prep: A four-year varsity letterwinner...All-American in 200 IM...received All-America honorable mention honors in 500 free...all-state and all-league honoree...fourth in the state in 200 IM during senior year and 16th in the 500 free...member of the undefeated state champion St. Xavier swim team from 1999-2002...member of the 2001 and 2002 national high school champion swim team...swam for the Cincinnati Marlins club team since age eight.
