2014-15 (Red-shirt Freshman) 7-8 Overall, 0-2 Duals, 7-6 Open Tournaments: Wrestled at 149 pounds . . . Academic All-Big Ten selection . . . Started two duals (Iowa: 149; Eastern Michigan: 157) . . . Scored a major decision against Gresh Henderson of Harper and a fall in 7:14 over Greg Jacquez of Harper as part of a four-win day at the MSU Open . . . Won three matches at the Purple Raider Open, including a win over Lucas Williamson by fall in 3:44.
2013-14 (Redshirt) 9-11 Overall, 0-0 Duals, 9-11 Open Tournaments: Placed eighth at the EMU Open after he pinned (0:46) Jeyson Guaradado of Gardner-Webb in one of the opening bouts . . . Placed fourth at the Purple Raider Open including a 11-0 major decision over Chas Busz of Cleveland . . . Went 1-2 at the Edinboro Open.
Prep: Took third place at the 2013 MHSAA Championships at 140 pounds, capping a 56-3 senior season ... Earned a third-place finish at the 2012 MHSAA Championships (135 pounds) and went 43-7 overall as a junior ... Took third place at the 2011 MHSAA Championships at 125 pounds with a 10-2 major decision; went 55-3 overall as a sophomore ... Ranked in the top five prep wrestlers in the state of Michigan at his weight class as a senior ... Four-time MHSAA regional champion ... Posted a 42-13 record as a freshman ...
