Prep: Four-year state placewinner at Saginaw Nouvel Catholic Central . . . Finished his four-year high school career with a 180-16 record . . . Placed third at the 2014 MHSAA Division 4 State Championships as a senior at 152 pounds . . . Finished his senior year with a 49-3 record . . . As a junior in 2013, became the first wrestler in Saginaw Nouvel Catholic Central history to reach the state finals; took runner-up honors at 145 pounds after dropping a 4-2 decision in the state championship match . . . Compiled a 46-2 record as a junior . . . Placed third as a sophomore at the 2012 MHSAA Division 4 State Championships at 140 pounds; finished the season with a 36-5 record . . . Took fifth place as a freshman at the 2011 MHSAA Division 4 State Championships at 130 pounds; finished the year with a 49-6 record.
