Sheridan's offense in 2020 also featured Ty Fryfogle, who was named the Big Ten Receiver of the Year, as the Hoosiers finished No. 12 in the AP rankings.
Sheridan first worked with DeBoer at Indiana in 2019, as DeBoer was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach and Sheridan coached the tight ends. Under Sheridan in 2019, Hoosier tight end Peyton Hendershot set school records for a tight end with 52 receptions for 622 yards while earning All-Big Ten recognition for the third time in his career. Sheridan spent his first two years (2017-18) at Indiana coaching the quarterbacks.
