Bio
Graduate transfer from Wheaton College (Division III) joined the program in January 2021.
2021 SEASON: Played in six games for the Spartans during his sixth year of eligibility in 2021 to earn his first letter at MSU . . . saw action on 46 plays on special teams . . . played 22 snaps on defense in Week 2 against Youngstown State and recorded one tackle.
2020 SEASON: Wheaton College did not compete in the fall of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 SEASON: Named a Division III AP First Team All-American with four interceptions, 13 pass break-ups and 36 tackles . . . also named a D3Football.com Third-Team All-American . . . named to the D3Football All-North Region First Team . . . also a first-team All-CCIW selection . . . started all 13 games for nation's top defense . . . had two interceptions and three pass break-ups in a win at Millikin and was named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week . .. returned an interception for a touchdown in a win at Carroll on Nov. 2 . . . broke up three passes in a second-round playoff victory over Central on Nov. 30 . . . helped Wheaton advance to the NCAA DIII quarterfinals.
2018 SEASON: Appeared in nine games, tallying 18 tackles including one for loss, intercepting one pass and breaking up four passes . . . had seven tackles and two pass break-ups at WashU on Oct. 13 . . . had an interception in the season opener against Monmouth.
2017 SEASON: Missed season due to injury.
2016 SEASON: Saw time with junior varsity.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Was a four-year varsity player and a two-year starter at NorthPointe Christian High School in Grand Rapids for Coach Tim Swore . . . graduated from Wheaton College with a bachelor’s degree in biology . . . pursuing a master’s degree in global health.
