SOPHOMORE (2021):  Academic All-Big Ten ... Appeared in 28 games, starting nine ... Compiled a 4-10 record in 84 innings pitched, with a 3.33 ERA ... Struck out 105 batters, good for 11th in the B1G and her three saves ranked second ... Ranked seventh in the league and 61st nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.38) and third (40th) in strikeouts per seven innings (8.8) ... At the B1G opening weekend in Leesburg, Fla., started one game in each of the doubleheaders against Northwestern, Nebraska, and Iowa .. Pitched in five of the six games in the second Big Ten weekend in Leesburg, starting two and striking out 14 in 14.1 innings, scattering eight hits ...  Went 1-1 with a save in the Rutgers series (3/26-28), striking out 12 and scattering seven hits in 7.2 innings ...  Pitched in all four games of the Maryland series (4/9-10), tossing eight relief innings, scattering eight hits and striking out seven while picking up her second save of the  year ... Catie and Sarah reunited as teammates for the Spartans after the pair helped Los Alamitos to a 2017 national championship in high school … Mother, Gina, played softball and uncle, Mike Bailey, played football at Oregon State … Cousin, Hannah Bailey, is a pitcher at Boise State…  Plans on a career as a veterinarian …
