Shaquille Lee joined the Michigan State football program as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in August 2023.
Lee spent the previous two seasons as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Syracuse football program (2021-22). He also worked with the Notre Dame strength and conditioning staff in the spring of 2021.
Prior to his stint at UND, Lee worked at Missouri Southern as the assistant director of strength and conditioning. He also has graduate assistant and internship experiences at Midwestern State, Kentucky, Oregon and his alma mater, Indiana State.
Originally from Gary, Indiana, Lee played one season of football at St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, for the 2012 season, before transferring to Indiana State in 2013. While at Indiana State, he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, with a minor in strength and conditioning. He later completed a master’s program with a concentration in coaching in 2019 at Indiana State.
Lee is SCCC certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), holds a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Performance certification, and is also certified in Functional Range Conditioning (FRCms).
