Hockey Holds On To Fifth In Polls

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State hockey is ranked fifth in this week's U.S. College Hockey Online and USA Today/American Hockey Magazine national polls, released Monday night.
The Spartans remained in fifth in the USCHO poll, while moving from seventh to fifth in the USA Today poll.
New Hampshire took over the top spot in both polls after former No. 1 North Dakota split last weekend against Denver.
Other CCHA teams in both polls include Michigan (No. 7/6) and Northern Michigan (No. 9/7).
The Spartans are off until Dec. 29-30, when they play in the Great Lakes Invitational at Joe Louis Arena. MSU opens against Michigan Tech and will play either Lake Superior or Michigan on Thursday the 30th.
