Spartan Family Fun Day Scheduled for Aug. 20

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State football team will conduct its annual Family Fun Day on Sunday, Aug. 20 from 2:30-6 p.m. in Spartan Stadium. There is no admission charge.
Fans are invited to attend the football team's first practice in full pads from 2:30-4:45 p.m. Following the workout, Spartan players and coaches will be available for autographs and pictures until 6 p.m.
Spartan cheerleaders will help distribute free schedule posters. In addition, MSU trainers will be on hand to wrap wrists and apply eye black for young fans.
"The first practice in full pads is always special because the intensity really picks up and it's a perfect way to kick-off Family Fun Day," MSU first-year head coach Bobby Williams said. "Our fans mean an awful lot to this football program and that's why we set aside this day for them. This event is a small way to thank our fans for their loyalty and support.
"Family Fun Day has become a great success over the years, and the attendance continues to grow. Our players and coaches alike look forward to this event because they truly enjoy the interaction with our fans."
