EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Carolina Classic volleyball tournament, which was to be hosted by the University of South Carolina on Friday, Sept. 14 and Saturday, Sept. 15, has been cancelled. Because of the national tragedy on Tuesday, Wake Forest can not play, according to Atlantic Coast Conference rules, and Michigan State, which was initially scheduled to travel by airplane Thursday, had its travel plans altered by the airport closures and chose not to attempt to fly to South Carolina.
