Sunday was my brother Drew's 18th birthday so we had a barbecue and I slept in. I really didn't have anything going on in school because I had those tests earlier last week so I just took it easy. This week I'm just going to class and hanging out. There's really nothing going on but lecture and reading.
With the Olympics on this past week, I've been watching as much hockey as I can. I usually watch whatever is on during prime time after dinner. I've watched the aerials. I like that. I saw down and watched the two-man bobsleds for a little while. I don't know what to expect with the Olympic hockey. It's hard to say with that much talent out there. It's going to come down to whose on and who plays the best defense. Everybody seems to be getting enough chances. Goaltending and defense, that's what I like about watching.
We leave Thursday for Oxford, Ohio, around 4 p.m. for our weekend series against Miami. The bus ride is around four hours long. I have a paper due in about a month for a class so I might bring some stuff to start that. I might start thinking of a thesis for the paper.
Last time we were down there the RedHawks beat us twice. I think the environment there is a little tough on the visiting team. It's a different rink. The rink is a lot smaller than Munn. They really only have stands on the one side. Obviously, when you are in your home rink you are going to play a little differently. I think that is the kind of team they are.
