Spartan Wrestling Signs Two-Time State Champion From Indiana

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State wrestling team has signed two-time state champion and three-time state finalist Michael Escebedo from Lake Central High School in Crown Point, Ind., to join the program beginning in the fall of 2002.
Escebedo completed his junior and senior seasons with an unblemished record of 93-0 and a career mark of 163-14. He is expected to wrestle at either 157 or 165 pounds for the Spartans.
Escebedo rounds out the 2002-03 recruiting class for the Michigan State wrestling team. He joins Tony Greathouse (Mason), Andy Simmons (Williamston) and Jon Wimberley (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), who committed to MSU during the early signing period.
