Wrestling Drops Home Dual to No. 8 Iowa

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State wrestling was defeated by No. 8-ranked Iowa on Sunday afternoon, 40-6, from Jenison Field House.

MSU moves to 4-7 overall and 1-5 in B1G duals while Iowa improves to 10-5 (3-3 B1G). The Spartans return to the mat next Friday when they take on No. 17-ranked Rutgers at 6:30 p.m. from Jenison Field House.

Iowa won eight matches by bonus points throughout the dual including six by tech fall. Redshirt junior 197-pounder Kael Wisler was the lone point-scorer for MSU after the Hawkeyes forfeited at his weight class.
