EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State hockey (20-15-1 overall, 16-9-1 CCHA) has moved back into the national polls, coming in at No. 14 in both the Feb. 23 USA Today/American Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com polls. It marks MSU's first appearance in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine since Jan. 26, 2004, and it is State's first showing in the USCHO.com poll since Nov. 2003.
Boston College is the No. 1 team in both polls for the third consecutive week. Rounding out the top five in both polls are: North Dakota, Maine, Michigan and Minnesota-Duluth.
Michigan State enjoys a bye week before returning to the ice in two weeks, when it takes on the CCHA-leading Michigan on Friday, March 5, at 8:05 p.m. ET, at Munn Ice Arena. On Saturday, March 6, the series shifts to Joe Louis Arena for a 7:35 p.m. ET face-off.
