Television Schedule Announced for Spartan Hockey

East Lansing, Mich. - Twenty-five Michigan State regular-season hockey games will be aired live in the upcoming hockey season, in addition to one exhibition game. The array of MSU games will be aired on FSN Detroit, College Sports Television (CSTV), ESPNU, and Comcast.
In addition, the Michigan State Department of Athletics has announced that 14 of its 17 regular-season home games will be available via live webstream on its official website, www.msuspartans.com. Part of the All-Access package, subscribers will be able to get live video synched with the radio call by Scott Moore and Rob Woodward. Michigan State cannot webcast games which will air live on FSN-Detroit.

Six games are part of the CCHA's package with FSN Detroit, which begins for MSU with a game at Miami on January 6. Two prior games will appear on FSN-Detroit, as the station will broadcast Great Lakes Invitational at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The GLI kicks off with the Michigan State-Harvard game on Dec. 28, and concludes the following day with the consolation and championship games.
ESPNU has just one Spartan game on the docket, the October 15 matinee at Western Michigan. CSTV will carry three Michigan State road contests: Nov. 17 at Notre Dame, Nov. 21 at Michigan, and Feb. 3 at Nebraska-Omaha.
Comcast will carry a bulk of the Spartan games this season. Many will be carried live on Comcast East Lansing and broadcast on tape delay on Comcast Local. Three games, however, will be aired live on Comcast Local out of Detroit: Nov. 3 against Michigan, Nov. 18 against Notre Dame, Jan. 13 against Alaska (which will also air live in Alaska on FOX), and Feb. 16 at Western Michigan.
In addition to the 25 regular-season tilts, the MSU exhibition game against the US National Team Development Program on October 19 will air live on Comcast East Lansing.
