Spartan Hockey Meets the Media, Prepares for Exhibition

The Michigan State hockey program met the local and regional media on Thursday, Oct. 7 for its annual media day. In addition to a "State of the Spartans" address by head coach Rick Comley, the media spoke to sophomore captain Torey Krug, alternate captains Dustin Gazley and Trevor Nill, Derek Grant, Daultan Leveille, Drew Palmisano, Dean Chelios, and Jake Chelios.

At the conclusion of the media session, the team assembled around the new Spartan helmet logo at center ice of Munn Ice Arena and took the 2010-11 team picture.
The Spartans will be in action tomorrow evening, hosting Western Ontario in an exhibition contest at 7 p.m. Admission to the exhibition game is free to all MSU students with a valid ID. The regular season begins next weekend, when the Spartans host the University of Maine in a Thursday-Friday series.
