Volleyball Signs Three to National Letters of Intent

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State volleyball head coach Cathy George announced Wednesday that three student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to attend Michigan State next fall and play for the 2011 Spartan volleyballl team. The signees include Taylor Galloway (OH, 6-1, Portage, Mich., Portage), Kori Moster (L, 5-4, Cincinnati, Ohio, Ursuline Academy) and Jazmine White (MB/OH, 6-1, Oshawa, Ontario, R.S. McLaughlin Collegiate and Vocational Institute).

Nominee for the 2010 Michigan Miss Volleyball Award ... Ranked No. 90 in the PrepVolleyball.com Top 100 Senior Aces list ... AVCA 2010-11 Under Armour Girls' High School All-America Watch List ... First-team all-state in 2009, advancing to the state finals match with Portage Central ... Dead Frog club volleyball team placed third at the 2010 AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships ... Honored as a 2010 AAU National All-American ... Named second-team all-state as a freshman ... Received all-region and all-district honors as a freshman, sophomore and junior ... Named Channel 3 Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 15, 2010.

Named to 2010 Team Ontario which competed in the National Team Challenge Cup and earned the gold medal ... Coached by former Spartan Dana Cooke as a member of Element Volleyball which won the Ontario Provincial Championships, earning Provincial All-Star honors ... Starting middle for the 2009 Team Ontario squad who competed at the National Team Challenge Cup ... Captained her 16U Durham Attack Volleyball Club team to a silver medal at the 2009 Ontario Provincial Championships where she was named as the Award of Excellence winner ... Won a silver medal at the 2009 Canadian National West Open ... Played for the regional volleyball team which competed at the 2008 Ontario Summer Games Indoor Volleyball Championships, earning a gold medal ... Named to the Class of 2011 Canadian Prospects Team her sophomore year ... Won the 2009 AAU Junior Olympic Beach Championships.
Cathy George on White: "Jazmine is an excellent athlete out of Canada. She has played at high levels in Canada, both on the court and in the beach. She is a very versatile player that we will be looking to play in any one of the three front row positions. Jazmine is also capable of playing back row, as well."
