Spartans Draw Michigan in CCHA Quarterfinals

East Lansing, Mich. - Rick Comley's Michigan State Spartans, which finished second in the CCHA regular season, will host seventh-seeded Michigan in the CCHA Tournament quarterfinal round at Munn Ice Arena March 12-14. The best-of-three series begins Friday at 7:05 p.m.
Michigan State went 19-11-6 in the regular season, and owned a 3-1 record against the Wolverines in the four meetings of the squads. The first two games of this quarterfinal series will be televised by Comcast (Digital channel 900 in mid-Michigan).
Tickets are on sale now on MSU's website. Tickets are $22/$20, and student tickets are $10. In addition to the online sale, tickets are also available by calling the Spartan ticket office from 10 am-6 p.m. Monday-Friday at 517-355-1610.
In addition, the MSU Alumni Association will be hosting a pep rally at the Spartan Club (4th floor, Spartan Stadium) from 4:45 - 6:15 p.m. prior to Saturday's game (7:05 p.m.) The program will feature Head Coach Rick Comley, MSU Trustee Faylene Owen, MSUAA Executive Director Scott Westerman, Senior Associate Athletics Director Shelley Appelbaum, the MSU Cheerleaders and Sparty. The formal program will begin at 5:00 p.m.
Admission for the pep rally is $10 for MSU Alumni Association and Spartan Fund members, $15 for non-members, children 12 and under free. Admission price includes a taco buffet. A cash bar will be available.
