Spartan hockey kicked off the 2011-12 season as well as the Tom Anastos era on Tuesday when it hosted the media in the Munn Club to discuss the upcoming season. Anastos addressed the media for 45 minutes, discussing what he has learned about his team since coming aboard in March and looking forward to the team's first official practice on Saturday. The media also heard from junior captain Torey Krug, now in his second season as the captain of the Spartans. Wrapping up the day was round-table sessions with seniors Trevor Nill, Drew Palmisano, Brock Shelgren, Daultan Leveille, and Brett Perlini; junior Anthony Hayes; and freshman Tanner Sorenson.
