Big Ten Tournament Single-Session Tickets on Sale

DETROIT - Olympia Entertainment and the Big Ten Conference announced that single-session tickets for the Big Ten Men's Ice Hockey Tournament at Joe Louis Arena are now on sale. The second-annual tournament is set to be held at The Joe for the first time from March 19-21. A single-session ticket starts at $20 and allows access to all Big Ten Tournament games on the corresponding day.

The tournament will feature all six Big Ten teams - Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin - in a single-elimination format. All five games will be covered live nationally by BTN (games at 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20; and the championship game at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 21).
"We're excited to welcome six of the top college programs in the nation for the first Big Ten Hockey Tournament in Detroit," said Tom Wilson, President and CEO of Olympia Entertainment. "With the great crowds and tremendous atmospheres we've witnessed for our `College Hockey in the D' events so far this season, we expect this to be another top-notch tournament showcasing some of the best players in the nation right here in Hockeytown."
Thursday's quarterfinals will feature the No. 3 seed facing the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed battling the No. 5 seed. The top two seeds will open tournament play on Friday in the semifinals, with the No. 1 seed against either the No. 4 or No. 5 seed and the No. 2 seed facing the No. 3 or No. 6 seed. The winner of Saturday's championship game will be the conference's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Championship.
