Mason Appleton Signs With the Winnipeg Jets

EAST LANSING - Michigan State forward Mason Appleton has signed an entry-level contract with the Winnipeg Jets, the organization announced on Thursday, July 13. Appleton was selected in the sixth round, 168th overall, by Winnipeg in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
In two years at Michigan State Appleton compiled 53 points (17g, 36a) in 72 career games.
As a sophomore in 2016-17, Appleton led the Spartans goals (12), assists (19) and points (31), earning the team's Outstanding Offensive Player and MVP awards. The native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, was named the Spartans' Outstanding Rookie in 2015-16 after producing 22 points, including a team-high 17 assists.
