Thousands Attend Meet the Spartans on Wednesday

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Thousands of Michigan State fans filled the concourse at Spartan Stadium for the 15th annual "Meet the Spartans" Wednesday evening.
The event gave Spartan fans the chance to meet the entire 2017 Michigan State football team and receive autographs from players and head coach Mark Dantonio.
Fans also toured the press box, visited the Spartan Stadium field, and met with Sparty and the Spartan cheerleaders and dance team. In addition, Spartan Sports Network gave fans an opportunity to describe a memorable moment as play-by-play announcer.
"I love interacting with all of the fans, the little kids especially," said junior safety Grayson Miller. "Just asking them how their day is going and what they're most excited about for the season. It's something I love to do, and I know the rest of the guys do too."
The team will finish preseason camp with practice on Thursday.
Michigan State opens the 2017 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 against Bowling Green at noon in Spartan Stadium.
