Spartans’ Fall Schedule Concludes With the Quail Valley Intercollegiate

EAST LANSING – The Michigan State men's golf team will conclude its fall schedule with the Quail Valley Intercollegiate this weekend in Vero Beach, Florida. The seventh annual event will take place at Quail Valley Golf Club, Sunday (36 holes) and Monday (18 holes).

Format: Stroke play, 54 holes; play five, count four

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Spartans won the Quail Valley Intercollegiate twice – 2015 and 2016 – in the six-year history of the tournament and had a runner-up finish in 2017. Last season, the Spartans took sixth place as James Piot had what was then his second-best career finish in tying for seventh place at 5-under-par 211.

Designed by Tommy Fazio and Nick Price, Quail Valley was voted as one of the Top 10 Premier Clubs by LINKS Magazine in 2010.
THE FIELD
The 14-team field includes three teams currently in the top-35 of the Golfstat rankings: Jacksonville, Lipscomb, Maryland, McNeese, Memphis, Miami University, Michigan State, North Florida (32), Notre Dame (7), Rutgers, South Florida, South Dakota State, UAB (25) and UMKC.
