Showdown With Michigan Caps Spartan Spring Practices

Michigan State will complete its spring schedule this weekend with a match in the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Showcase.

The Showcase will be held on Saturday (April 20) at the Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center on the campus of Aquinas College. For a $5 admission charge, fans can take in two collegiate matches featuring four in-state rivals. Western Michigan and Central Michigan start off the program with a 5 pm match, while the Michigan State- Michigan showdown will begin at 6:30 pm.

During the match between WMU and CMU, the Spartans and Wolverines will sign autographs. The autograph session begins at 4:40 pm.

The Spartans have been training as a team for the last four weeks, competing one weekend at home and on the road in Kentucky and Indiana. While fans will be excited to see the Michigan State-Michigan matchup, both squads will look different than fans remember from the fall, as the seniors do not participate, nor do the freshmen slated to join the team in the fall of 2019.
