
MSU Gymnastics Adds One

Spartans sign in-state gymnast.
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State gymnastics head coach Mike Rowe announced the additional  signing of an incoming freshman for MSU's 2022 roster.
MSU adds in-state gymnast Genevieve Lebster (Holland, Michigan) for the 2022 season. Lebster joins Skyla Schulte (Bolingbrook, Illinois) and Gabrielle Stephen (Elgin, Illinois) in the Spartans' freshmen class for the 2022 season. Both Schulte and Stephen signed with the Spartans earlier this month {Click here to read more on earlier signings}.

Her upgraded difficulty, consistent work ethic and unbridled enthusiasm make Genna a valuable contributor to our increased depth on every event. Prior to MSU: Attends Holland West Ottawa High School ... Trains at Champion Gymnastics USA in Holland, Michigan, where she is coached by Tami Jacobs, Halle Hibbitts and Ali Berry ... Is a three-year Level 10 gymnast ... Was fourth in the all-around at the 2020 Midwest Open, as well as finishing third on beam and seventh on floor at the Buckeye Classic ... At her home meet, the 2020 Tulip City Invitational, she was fourth in the all-around, as well as third on floor and fourth on vault, bars and beam ... Finished sixth on floor and ninth on beam at the 2019 Region 5 Level 10 Regional qualifier ... Was also sixth on floor and ninth on beam at the 2019 Michigan Level 10 State Meet ... Also won the beam along with second in the all-around and second on vault and bars, while placing sixth on floor at the 2019 Nashville Nights meet ... Finished third in the all-around, while placing second on vault and beam, along with fourth on bars and floor at the 2019 Tulip City Invitational ... A member of the National Honor Society ... Lists former Spartan basketball greats Miles Bridges and Cassius Winston as favorite non-gymnastics athletes and is a huge MSU basketball fan.
Personal: Daughter of Ryan and Catherine Lebster ... Has three siblings, Kayla, Stephanie and Danielle.
